MORPHEUS: What is real? How do you define, real? By real if you mean what you can smell what you can taste what you can touch, then real is nothing more than electrical impulses interpreted by your brain.

What the hell does that mean?!? I can see the damn spoon right there.
Well, yes. An illusion is not an illusion because it doesn't exist. You only need to try to walk through a wall to verify this. When David Copperfield does his tricks, you "see" the illusion. It's real. But you are not seeing, what you think you are seeing.
The sky is blue... nobody would argue that is a fact. But what if a dog could talk... he or she might argue that the sky is gray, since dogs are colorblind. So, is the sky really blue? No. It is only blue because that is what human vision is designed to see.

So, back to this spoon thing... how can there be no spoon? Because the spoon is not what it appears to be. Again you must remember that the human body is designed to interact in this world... this "relative reality." What does relative reality mean? Well, relative means that something has meaning only in relation, to something else. It is not absolute... it cannot stand on it's own. This reality is relative because it depends entirely on your PERCEPTION of it.

Did you know that in the cortex of your brain are cells that will interpret all the information taken in through your senses, based on prejudices and biases that you already have? That's how 2 people can see the same event, and see 2 different things and have 2 different interpretations of what happened.

PHYSICS 101
If you could see things as they actually existed, you would see solar systems moving extremely fast... kinda like Neo when he finally sees The Matrix as it truly is, near the end of the movie. Our solar system is a sun, surrounded by nine planets in a circular orbit. An atom follows the same pattern... electrons traveling around a proton and a neutron called the nucleus. Everything is made up of atoms, formed into molecules. Including your body.
What we seem to perceive with our senses is in reality, only different aspects of the same substance. Modern physics says that matter is 99.9% empty space surrounded by an idea, or thought energy. So, yes only 0.1% of matter, is visible to the human eye.

WHO ARE YOU???
NEO: I thought you said it wasn't real?
MORPHEUS: Your mind makes it real.

In other words, your true identity cannot be found in this world that is relative reality

If the body cannot live without the mind, what is the mind? You can't take it out and dissect it. What happens to it at death? We know what happens to the body... it decomposes back into the elements it it composed of. When someone dies, they get cold. The fire element leaves. No more BTUs. They stop breathing. The air element leaves. That leaves water, and earth. The body decomposes... turns to liquid, then over time, to dust.
Your mind functions independently of your body. That is how you dream. In many ways, the dream world is more real than this world. A human body is a composition of elements. Then what really are you?
Consider that ice, water and vapor, are all the same element. It is just vibrating at different rates. Ice is vibrating very slow... vapor, very quickly.
So, when energy vibrates at a lower speed, it appears as a solid object, like a chair, or rollercoaster, or your human body. When matter vibrates at extremely high rates it goes beyond the gaseous state. It becomes rays, like gamma rays, or x-rays or the rays of the sun. These rays can fit in between the empty spaces of solid objects, because remember... matter is 99.9% empty space. Your spirit, or your spiritual body, or your energy body is of a much less dense material than your human body. It is very subtle. You couldnot interact in this world, fully, without a human body. This spiritual body animates your human body. Without an electrical impulse to WILL your body to some activity, your body would lie motionless.
If you can realize this, you will begin to see how you are living within the confines of a very advanced computer program, if you will. It is based on that same binary code like a computer... zeros, and ones.... yin and yang.... Shu and Tefnut.

MORPHEUS: There are rules... rules like gravity. What you must learn is that some of these rules can be bent... others, can be broken.
Then you will understand how Sam Kuoha can break ice with his head... how a Shaolin monk can drag heavy weights tied to his genitals. How an oracle, can interpret the future. How a yogi can slow his breath, to where he/she is just barely breathing... you will begin to understand the psycho kenetic ability to pierce the flesh with needles and not bleed... that people can have dentist work done, without novicane... to walk on hot coals and not get burned, and the many other abilities that human beings have demonstrated over thousands of years.
